What about Matthew 18 - the parable of the unforgiving servant?

Most of the time, Jesus does not explain His parables, yet there are those which He does, which must mean they are ones He wanted to MAKE SURE we understood clearly...this one is one of those.

Note the King forgave the begging servant his whole debt, a very large amount, and when that servant proceeded to demand a considerably smaller amount from his fellow-servant, the King was angered by it and threw the servant into prison until he paid the debt (which, because it was such a great amount, would never be possible).

Jesus then says if we don't forgive, neither will God forgive us our Sins. The wording of the parable, the use of "servants" gives rise to the comparison between the parable and believers with God. It's not aimed at non-believers, they do not care about forgiveness. It is aimed at believers in Christ, who do not forgive - God will not forgive them.

I don't think anyone mentioned obeying Satan as an appointed authority. Not sure how you made the leap to that. God appoints rulers. We can stand on what we believe in and pray for our leaders. This is what God commands.

If God appoints all rulers, should we then follow Satan's ordinances since Jesus talks of him as the ruler of this world (John 12:31, 14:30, 16:11)? How can we wrestle against Satan and his minions (Ephesians 6:12) and still obey Satan as an appointed authority? Indeed God has appointed him as an accuser of mankind, if scripture is to be trusted.

After years of hard knocks I realized the only way to start the day is to say, "Lord, what will you have me do today?"

Once I surrendered, life started moving so fast I can't keep up with it. :D But yes, I can. God will see to that.
