As a musician/songwriter, I’ve always feared the day when I’d be in a local pawn show and see my CD in a clearance bin. I wonder what popular artists think of it.
Well, now I kinda know, but it feels great. And, it’s a good one! If you haven’t heard of the show, visit the show’s website at www.therockandtherabbi.com .
I just got an email from Celebrity Attractions. They’re clearing out all their R&R gear with a $5 clearance sale! I ordered a bunch of CDs and shirts. You can’t beat that price!!!
Here’s a link for more info: http://editor.delivra.com/vo.aspx?FileID=172174&MemberID=163458689&MailID=5176400
You can get CDs and all those great shirts for just $5 each! Hurry though, “at this price they won’t last long!”
What an amazing, jam-packed couple of weeks it has been!
We’re recording the soundtrack for the show “The Witnesses” so it’s been late hours in the studio. But I must say – what a great bunch of musicians, and just all-around good people I work with on the cast. It has been a blast!
Then, we did three shows of “The Rock & The Rabbi” on Easter weekend at the Plaza Theatre in Orlando, Florida. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Resurrection weekend!
What’s next, you ask? Well, there’s a rumor that “The Witnesses” is going to be at Palm Harbor United Methodist Church on April 26th. Stay tuned for more details.
grace & peace,
It’s still one of my favorite songs: Casting Crowns’ song “I Am Yours.” My sister sent me the link to a very creative video – black lights and white gloves. Check it out:
If you find yourself in Orlando this weekend, you might want to check out “The Witnesses” musical. It’s playing at the Plaza Theatre in Orlando.

…isn’t that a song?
Hey, I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m leaving for Indianapolis bright and early tomorrow to do two shows of “The Witnesses”. Please pray for us for safe travels and that God’s Word would go forth exactly as He intends – so that many lives can be changed as a result.
Don’t forget – “The Witnesses” is coming to Tampa Performing Arts Center in October. Click here for more information.
For more info about the show, please visit the show’s website.
Hope to see you there!
You may have already heard about it on Spirit FM (www.spiritfm905.com), but “The Witnesses” is coming to the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center (see http://www.tbpac.com/shows/show.cfm?recordID=1974 for more information) in October, 2007.
If you’re not familiar with the show, this is actually part two of “The Rock & The Rabbi” trilogy, which began in the Tampa Bay area more than 9 years ago. The original show has toured extensively all over America and other parts of the globe.
The most important thing about both of these shows is how they bring the Word of God alive through performing arts. What people think they are getting is a high-quality, broadway-style musical that is both entertaining and inspiring. What they don’t know they are getting is fed by the Word of God. God’s Word is alive and able to change lives simply by hearing. Faith is increased and people are drawn to God just from having witnessed these shows.
Please come out and support the arts and support the spreading of God’s Word.
There are actually two shows in Tampa, only one of which Spirit FM is advertising:
- Saturday, October 13th – 7:30pm (Spirit FM’s fundraiser show)
- Sunday, October 14th – 4:00pm
Hope to see you there (I’m the bald guy with the accordion!)…
I just returned this afternoon from our trip to Joppa, MD where the new musical, “The Witnesses” performed another sneak preview at Mountain Christian Church. This church is the church were the writer of the script for the show, Gary Richardson, grew up.
We did a performance on Friday night and on Saturday night as well. The church really spoiled us and treated us like royalty. We got awesome home-cooked meals and 2 large rental vehicles to tool around in while we were in town. And the kindness and hospitality of the crew at the church was top notch.
What a treat!
For me personally, Friday was just a little rough. It has been since May since we’ve performed the show. But Saturday was a blast. At some point in the show I remember looking around at the rest of the cast – Zoe & Betsy on the violin and cello, Bobby on the bass, Scotty & Craig on percussion, the vocalists Aaron, Dave and Neal, the chilling story telling of Gary and the amazing song writing of Danny. I was quite humbled to be on the same stage with such talent.
For those of you who were able to catch the first show, “The Rock & The Rabbi“, you’re going to need to see this show. I don’t know how many people came up to us in Joppa after the show saying they thought nothing could ever top that show – but they were pleasantly surprised how much they enjoyed “the sequel.”
We’re coming to Indianapolis in September and to Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in October. Keep checking The Witnesses website for all the details. Once we get firm dates, it will be posted there.
See you there!
